Stop Over Hood Park Washington

Rainy Drive to Washington

Rainy Drive to Washington

Thursday we traveled North again. This time our destination was in Eastern Washington at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers. Hood Park Campground (Review – Hood Park) is a beautiful campground in a park like setting built by the Army Corp Engineers. Every time I have an opportunity to stay at a COE park I take it. I’ve found you can’t beat the nightly fee for the amenities provided in a clean campground.

Maintenance Time

During our seven-day stay here I had the Workhorse oil and fuel filters changed at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Tri-Cities. It’s hard to believe how quickly the miles tick by when traveling as I do. They were pleasant, friendly and did a good job at a reasonable price for a dealer.

Touring or Not

We did a few drives locally to pick up groceries and of course the laundry. Again I’m not spending much time during the touristy stuff here, as there hasn’t been much the past few weeks, just enjoying one day at a time in my Coach. In fact other than enjoying the peaceful walks along the river or on the back side of the park, there isn’t much going on in this area that I have found anyway. Of course if I was a fisherman or had a boat there are great opportunities here.

In a few days Jagger and I will mosey on down the road again, but this time we will be entering Montana. I’m looking forward to touring the Central and South East areas. Our final goal East will be Pompey’s Pillar.

Safe Travels…Gary
