A Welcome Visitor

“Haven’t you ever heard of the ‘Velcro Dog’? That’s what they call Aussies, they don’t want to be too far away from you”, she says. It turns out she trained dogs most of her life. While talking, I went back to the Workhorse and opened my door to get my water, yep Jagger came running, he thought I was leaving him …

Eastern Sierra Nevada Boondock – Lone Pine

I open my eyes and it’s still dark at 5:15 am. My alarm hasn’t gone off but I’m ready to get up and start the day. I reach for my cell phone to turn on the volume and check for any updates. Then lay here staring at the ceiling. Well I know I’m in my home (the Coach), but can’t immediately remember where my camp is located.

Over The Ortega

I wake up in Lake Elsinore. Jagger and I take advantage of the clear sunny day and go for a walk down to the lake and along the shoreline. The drought has taken it’s toll here. The lake is very low and this is the time of year when it would normally be the fullest of the year. How low will they let it go?

Lake Elsinore Stop Over

After checking in the Host helps me back in my Coach and get settled. Here Jagger and I will take long walks by the lake and enjoy time with family living in the area. Also my cousin, who I haven’t seen in many years will be visiting from Colorado for a few days.
