California Here We Come
The day has come when we leave our camp at Usery once again and head West, leaving my Arizona family and starting our travels for 2016.

Travel Journal – January 22, 2016 Wednesday afternoon was set aside as a time to work on the Coach. About a week ago I made an appointment with the RV […]
As we pass the first of several people enjoying the quiet morning sitting on a bench reading a book or the morning paper. Jagger alerts, growls and I correct him with “it’s okay” and “leave it”.
Is it just because I am retired and getting older? It seems as though am I dealing with more things that need repair and more often…
When shopping for my Coach I was interested the “Four Season” and “Extended Stay” packages, especially since I didn’t know exactly what type of camping I would enjoy.
This is the longest I have sat in one place since I left Mesa earlier this year. Having family near is a blessing and it keeps me busy between my maintenance projects with fun times, like the “trick or treating”.
“You know Jagger, I really enjoy the drive east, but I am ready to stop somewhere for a while.” We have now been traveling three weeks, stopping along the way for a few days at times, to get the “flavors” of the areas that we touch. Something I told myself I would stop doing was moving so much, but being here in Orange County the “budget model” of traveling required some of that. As a result of some of my appointments, it required me to extend my stay here in OC. Now a difficult scheduling job was compounded.
No sooner did we arrive and we had places to go and people to see, not to mention the doctor, dentist, tax accountant and optometrist. It was going to be a jam packed stay here in the OC, much different than most of my camps and I am looking forward to it.
Packing up The evening before leaving Buckskin Mountain State Park, Jagger and I started packing up for our final leg west to California. I knew it would be a full travel […]
