  2. This is the first time i’ve read your blog and it is fantastic. The reason I am reading your blog is I’m going to be doing the same as you come October 2021. Im also reading others that I can find to learn more of this life style that I’m going to take in. One Question though. Does your dog have to be on the picnic tables that I may have to eat off of ? I like dogs and cats but we humans don’t get up on the tables and stand on them I hope? Keep up the good informative Blog. Thank you.

    • Hey Terry, glad to have you following. I’ve taken a break from my blog and just now getting back and saw your post. Thanks for your comment.

      Yeah, you would think a dog on the table isn’t kosher, but when camping you should always put a table cloth down if you’re going to use them for eating anyway as other peoples’ “butt’s” 🙂 are on them all the time. As are they standing on them and the Squirrels, birds, bears and other animals eat off of them and worse. As for me the reason I let Jagger on the table is to brush him. My back doesn’t allow me bending down too much anymore and I clean up my mess afterward.

  3. Hi Mari, Jagger came into my life after I started traveling full time. I had planned to get another dog before I even took delivery of my coach. He has had trouble adjusting to being out of a kennel, as I got him when he was six months old and he was not leash trained according to the person I got him from. I’m not sure why but he was aggressive towards most dogs when on a leash, but plays with most dogs when he is off leash. That part has been a struggle for me.

    As far as a dog in general it’s been relatively easy. Just keep in mind there are some areas that don’t allow dogs. Most of the National Parks allow dogs in the campgrounds, but not on the trails. There are some exceptions. Most private parks allow dogs. I like history and enjoy touring museums and such so Jagger must stay in the Coach. It’s most often to hot to leave him in the car, although I have done that at times when the weather is cooler.

    As I travel solo I am by myself at times, he is a lot of company and wouldn’t trade him for any other side kick.

  4. Hey Gary. Hope all is well with you. My husband and I will be traveling in a 5th wheel as our home. Since you are a dog person I was wondering if the places you have stayed so far have been a problem having your dog there. Any tips on living on the move with your dog? Thanks! Travel safe.
